Xiaomi’s Black Shark 2 Pro To Feature Snapdragon 855+ & 12GB RAM
If you are staying updated with the latest tech news for a while, then you might know that the Chinese Company, of course, Xiaomi, recently launched the second generation of its gaming smartphone known as Black Shark 2. The smartphone was launched in March 2019, and it received lots of positive reviews. The key highlight of Black Shark 2 is its 6.9 inch OLED screen and Snapdragon 855 processor. So, the Black Shark 2 isn’t an outdated gaming smartphone by any means having been launched this year itself. However, it looks like Xiaomi-backed Black Shark has just teased an upper variant of Black Shark Smartphone. The company teased Black Shark 2 Pro in China yesterday, and the phone has also made its way to the Geekbench listings. The Geekbench listing refers Black Shark 2 Pro as DLT-A0. Black Shark 2 had scored 3,632 points in single-core and 11,304 points in a multi-core test. So, the benchmark scores do look impressive. The motherboard here codenamed, ‘msmnile’ is shared by the Snapdragon 855 SoC and the Snapdragon 855+ Soc which was announced very recently. Since the Black Shark 2 features Snapdragon 855 SoC, it’s expected that the upcoming Black Shark 2 Pro will sport the new powerful processor. For those who don’t know, Snapdragon 855+ SoC is specially made for gaming devices to enhance the overall performance. The new powerful processor from Qualcomm promises 4.2 percent improvement in CPU and 15 percent improvement in GPU. Apart from that, the Geekbench listing also shows that the upcoming gaming smartphone will have 12GB of RAM and it will be running Android 9.0 Pie operating system. However, there are still lots of time left for Black Shark to tease more features. So, we have to wait for few more days or months to know the full list of specifications & features.
